1. Career-focused Teaching
We work directly with employers to identify the skills they’re looking for, so we can teach you what you need to know for a successful future career. Alongside this, many of our courses contain opportunities such as language learning modules or work placements for you to learn the skills you need first-hand, make valuable connections and build your professional network.
2. Social learning
Whether it’s fellow students on your course, or students from a similar discipline, many of our courses include interdisciplinary learning, allowing you to gain a range of valuable transferable skills. Alongside this, you can build up a valuable network of contacts to become a well-connected graduate while being taught in-person by passionate and knowledgeable staff who will help you to succeed.
3. Inclusivity
We have a diverse student body and staff from a range of backgrounds, allowing us to create an inclusive environment. Students’ thoughts and opinions play a part in course structure and delivery via Student Voice Representatives and Student Race Advocates, ensuring every student feels valued, supported and respected.
4. Authentic Assessments
Rather than traditional exams, our assessments are embedded and continuous, with assessments integrated into the learning process and reflecting real-world work. For example, this might take the form of working directly with employers on projects they need, communicating with the public, taking part in interviews, or producing valuable resources such as blogs, leaflets and podcasts.
5. Study-life Balance
The majority of our courses are structured in a way that allows you to focus on your studies alongside paid employment, family, and other commitments. Teaching takes place over three terms with you studying no more than two modules at a time, resulting in a timetable that is well-planned and consistent, so it can perfectly complement your current lifestyle.
