Before you get here

The University of Chester has learning sites in Warrington and Birkenhead, in addition to locations across Chester city centre. Where you visit on an open day, will depend on your chosen course - all of the details will be in your booking confirmation. If you want to check where your course is based beforehand, do a quick search for your course, where you'll find location details.

You could claim up to £100 towards your travel costs through our means-tested travel bursary designed to help under-represented groups into Higher Education.

Frequently asked questions

The location of your Open Day will depend on which subject(s) you are interested in, as we have several different sites across Chester, Warrington and Birkenhead. By selecting your subject(s) of interest on the Open Day booking page, you will be directed to the correct information for where you need to register on the day. If you are attending an Open Day in Chester and need to visit more than one of our teaching sites, transport between sites will be available on the day.

All subject areas will be running talks throughout the day, as well as activities and tours – so whichever arrival time you choose, there will be plenty of time to fit everything in. We will also email you a schedule prior to the Open Day so you can plan your day.

Yes, you are welcome to bring guests with you to the Open Day. You don't need to make a separate booking for your guests; simply indicate the number of people you wish to accompany you when you are booking your place.

Chester: There is limited car parking at some of our Chester sites: please note that parking is extremely limited at our Exton Park and Wheeler sites and we recommend using public transport where possible. We will be running a free bus service between our Chester sites during the Open Day to help you get around.

Warrington: There is pay and display parking available near our Time Square and Sarah Parker Remond House sites.

Birkenhead: There is limited visitor parking available at Marriss House. Directions will be sent via email ahead of the Open Day.

If you’re no longer able to attend, please email visitus@chester.ac.uk and let us know that you wish to cancel your booking, along with the email address you used to book your place. We will then email you to confirm we have cancelled your place.

If you can’t make one of our Open Days this year, don’t worry, we also have campus tours taking place throughout the year which provide you with a great opportunity to visit our sites and view the general facilities available to you.
