Upload your photograph
Before you arrive, it is essential to upload a passport-style photograph. This step ensures the production of your student ID card before your course begins. The uploaded photograph will be added to your student record and may serve to verify your identity when using university services. Your student ID card grants access to various facilities, including catering, library, accommodation, and buildings on campus.
Follow this simple guidance to upload your photograph:
- You should use a mobile or digital camera that can produce high-quality photographs using the JPEG format. If an inappropriate, non-plain background or poor-quality image is uploaded you will be asked to provide an acceptable replacement.
- Capture in colour with a white background. Face the camera directly and ensure your hair does not obstruct your face. Avoid caps, hats and dark glasses. If using flash, check for any red-eye glare. Remember to take in portrait mode.
- You will need your student email address to upload your photograph. Your student email address follows the format: studentnumber@chester.ac.uk. You can find your student number in your welcome email.
Should you encounter difficulties uploading your image, contact Learning Information Services (LIS) at lis.helpdesk@chester.ac.uk or on 01244 511234, quoting your full name and student ID number.
