Why this matters

At the University of Chester, we aim to create an environment where students don’t just study, they thrive.

Our students are already giving back through volunteering, community projects, and leadership roles. The Careers Pathway Fund helps us give back to them: scaffolding opportunities that connect students with industry, mentors, and networks that shape their professional journey.

For many students, the difference between hoping and thriving comes down to access: to the right room, the right mentor, the right network. Your gift removes those barriers.

Alexandra Novocki, a former Fashion Design student who received direct funding said, 

“I used the funding to set up a pop-up rail on Bond Street for my clothing brand and also for my runway show.

I'm beyond grateful for what this fund has done and it is literally making dreams comes true, […] the idea of my own runway was a fantasy. Thanks to the fund, it's become reality and I can't wait to witness the final result and see the reaction people have for the work I've put all my time in to.

  • Employer Connections — Create events where employers and students meet, collaborate, and exchange ideas.
  • Entrepreneurial Boosts — Provide business prizes like professional web design or logo creation to launch student start-ups.
  • Memberships & Recognition — Cover the costs of joining professional bodies and chambers of commerce, and help students attend award ceremonies like the Great British Entrepreneur Awards.
  • Transformative Summits & Events — Enable students to take part in inclusivity and innovation summits, learning from leaders and mentors who inspire lasting change.
