I am a Director of Partnerships at the University of Chester, across both the Academic and Professional Programmes and Initial Teacher Education in the Faculty. I have been working in this role for the last nine years.

Prior to joining the Faculty of Education, I spent 14 years in secondary education, working almost exclusively in challenging inner city schools.

Whilst in school I was a Vice Principal (Learning and Progress), Assistant Head (Teaching and Learning), Head of Faculty (Performing and Creative Arts), Head of Department (Drama), Drama Teacher. As a senior leader I was responsible for Teaching and Learning, and Pupil Progress had oversight of staff CPD including ITT and NQT colleagues. I am passionate about the power of Education to change lives.

I left teaching in 2013 to pursue further study and begin work for the University on Mentor development before moving to my current role.

I am currently studying for a PhD.
