Chester Community Law Project

Chester Community Law Project (CCLP) Pro Bono Award

Our award-winning range of community outreach projects led by student Project Managers and operated by student volunteers.

Students at the University of Chester have the fantastic opportunity to engage in one of our many ‘Reach Out’ projects as part of CCLP.

Each project aims to empower our local communities by providing free information and guidance on their legal rights.

Hear from our students about how they applied, what they got involved in, and how this experience will help them in the future.

Chester Community Law Project

As part of CCLP, you will be able to help individuals facing a variety of challenges, for example individuals facing homelessness, dealing with difficult family situations, or facing domestic abuse, as well as parents and carers of children with life limiting conditions, asylum seekers and refugees. We also design and deliver interactive legal sessions to primary and secondary school children and provide training sessions to CAB advisors on a range of issues.

We operate several CCLP projects each year, so there's always something to get involved with. Whatever area of law interests you, there is likely to be a CCLP project for you!

Check out the different projects we’re currently running, as well as some of the prestigious national awards the CCLP teams have won.
