Sustainability and Environment Research and Knowledge Exchange Institute
This interdisciplinary institute brings together researchers from across natural sciences, engineering and computing, social sciences, arts and humanities around a shared concern with sustainability and environments. With a membership of over 150 University of Chester staff from a range of career stages, SERKEI enables interdisciplinary collaboration for research, knowledge exchange and public engagement across the city of Chester, regionally, nationally and internationally.
Our Projects
The Sustainability and Environment RKEI aims to support research projects that cut across interdisciplinary boundaries and directly benefit people and environments. Crucially, much of our research also works in partnership with the wider public and community, as well as public, private and third sector bodies, as we develop, share and collaborate on new projects. Our Support
In collaboration with the Culture & Society RKEI and Health & Wellbeing RKEI, the Sustainability and Environment RKEI offers a range of research workshops, seminars and training events to support researchers at all career stages.
