Spanish Language Taster Course

Our language taster courses provide a six-week introduction to the language and culture of a specific country/countries, with a choice of Arabic, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Welsh. They are an ideal way of finding out if learning a language is for you, and they are suitable for all! They will run from May to June in 2025.

You will cover introductory topics, such as basic greetings, numbers, weather, and dining out, as well as cultural knowledge of the relevant country/countries. It is designed to be a precursor to our beginner courses (evening classes) which run for 24 weeks from September to May.

If you are a member of the public (not a University of Chester student), the cost of one of our language taster courses is £99.

If you are a University of Chester student, all our language taster courses – and our evening classes – are free. The language taster courses require a deposit of £75, but this will be refunded back to you after course completion (attending at least 80% of the sessions).

Please note:

• All courses run subject to minimum numbers.
• This is not a credit bearing course.
• Minimum Age: The minimum age is 18.
• Refunds will not be granted after the courses have started.
• All courses are taught in person, on our Exton Park campus.
