Counselling

The Department is linked to an exciting, internationally renowned and cutting-edge research community, and the course is delivered by practitioners and researchers who draw on their own extensive professional and academic expertise.

Counselling Skills focuses on delivering stimulating learning sessions and is based at Exton Park (Parkgate Road). We offer a dynamic learning environment, with shared spaces for students to mix, discuss their work and undertake independent study.

We provide a range of work experience opportunities and have a dedicated careers service at the University. You have the chance to gain highly developed transferable skills which can be applied to a wide range of careers, such as social work, teaching or human resources, and for further therapeutic training should you wish to continue onto professional counsellor qualification routes.
