Black History Month 2026: Black History, Healthcare and Trust
A student-led session exploring trust, representation and the lasting impact of historical healthcare experiences.
Join Abigail Kusi (she/her), a University of Chester student studying Graduate Entry Medicine, for a thought-provoking session in honour of Black History Month 2026 that explores how the historical experiences of Black communities in healthcare and medical research continue to shape trust, patient experiences, and health outcomes today.
The session will also explore the role of representation, communication, cultural humility and equitable care in building trust with diverse communities.
