Academic Induction

Starting university is an exciting new chapter. Your Academic Induction is designed to help you settle in, connect with your tutors and classmates, and feel confident as you begin your studies.
These important sessions will take place during your first week, and we expect all new students to attend. They will help you:
- Understand your course structure and what’s expected of you
- Meet your academic tutors, support staff, and your Connect Hub team
- Connect with your classmates and begin building your student community
- Get to know the systems, spaces, and resources you'll use throughout your degree
Academic Induction Timetable
Student timetables will be released on 1st September 2025. The easiest way to access your timetable (including details of when and where your academic induction sessions will take place) is via the University of Chester App.
Please note that you must complete online enrolment before you will be able to access the App and view your timetable.
Course-Specific Information
Your course team will introduce you to your academic induction during your first week.
If you’d like to explore course-specific information before you arrive (such as reading lists or handbooks) you can search for your course below. Please note that access to this information will only be available once you’ve completed your online enrolment.
