Fazale’s Chester Made Story: The journey that shaped my engineering career
Find out how Fazale is Chester Made.
A Transformative Experience
My time at the University of Chester was a transformative experience that shaped both my academic and personal growth. What stands out most is the strong academic support, practical learning environment and the dedication it inspired in me to achieve excellence. Studying MSc Engineering Management and graduating with a distinction was not just an academic achievement but a reflection of my hard work, perseverance and commitment.
Support From Lecturers
Throughout my journey, the continuous support and guidance from my lecturers played a vital role in helping me stay focused and overcome challenges. Their mentorship gave me the confidence to push beyond my limits and develop both technical and professional skills.
Strength From Family
Equally important was the unwavering moral support from my family. My parents, Mahboob Ali and Rasheeda Begum, have always been my foundation, encouraging me at every step. I am also deeply grateful to my wife, Dr. Fatima Inayat, whose constant support and belief in me strengthened my determination during challenging times.
Growing Through Change
Adapting to a new country and academic system was not easy, but it built my resilience and independence. My time at Chester helped me discover my true potential and set the direction for my future career.

Post‑graduation: Building My Career
Since graduating from the University of Chester, I have built a successful start to my professional career as a Measurement Engineer at Perform Engineering Services. Securing this position is one of my proudest achievements, and it reflects not only my dedication but also the high-quality education and practical skills I gained at Chester.
Putting My Skills into Practice
The role I am in today has been made possible largely due to the knowledge, confidence and professional competencies developed during my studies. The University of Chester equipped me with the skills required to perform effectively in a competitive engineering environment, and I apply these skills daily in my work.
Finding Purpose in My Work
What I enjoy most about my role is working on real-world engineering challenges and contributing to efficient and accurate processes that make a meaningful difference. My journey has required persistence and determination, but the foundation built at Chester has made this transition smoother and more rewarding.
I continue to be motivated by the strong support system behind me – my parents, Mahboob Ali and Rasheeda Begum, and my wife, Dr. Fatima Inayat – whose belief in me has been instrumental in my success.
For Future Students
My advice to current and future students is to remain dedicated, take full advantage of the support provided by the University and believe in your abilities. Being a Chester graduate means carrying forward not only a degree, but the skills, confidence and global outlook needed to achieve your ambitions.
